An investment firm plans a megaproject in Malaga

Another megaproject is taking shape on the Costa del Sol, one of the most sought-after areas of the Iberian Peninsula. Specifically, it will be located in the capital of Malaga and will come from the hand of the Moonlake Capital investment group, which plans to develop a 2.6 Mm2 plot in the technology park, in the heart of the city. These lands will house the construction of some 5,000 homes, and will also include another 195,000 m2 of business use, 112,000 m2 for industries, 30,000 m2 for commercial premises, and two large general systems. Currently four of these sectors are pending approval of their partial plans. In addition, the investment firm is looking for a partner to carry out the project.

Moonlake Capital was born in late 2016 as a Boutique Commercial & Residential Real Estate, founded by its current CEO Armin Ghorbanifar, along with a group of private equity and familly offices. Ghorbanifar currently resides in Marbella and comes from a family with a long business tradition in the energy sector linked to the export of crude oil in Europe and the United States. Its beginnings originate in the luxury residential market in Spain and Europe. Among others, he participated in the Euro Disney project in Spain in 2010, in order to attract investors to Estepona along with his friend Lebanese businessman Raymond Nakachian. He has also advised within the luxury residential real estate field such as Markku Alén, Marc Rich, Boris Berezovsky, Bozidar Malijkovic, Carlo Benetton, David Lloyd the Extenist or Adnan Khashoggi, who in 2012 entrusted him with the acquisition of a luxury mansion in Spain , as well as other recognized people in the business world. In 2018 he has intervened in the management for the acquisition of 72 apartments in Ibiza for Richard Livingstone (Livingstone Brothers) worth € 22 million. Meanwhile, he is currently working on the management of a 54,000 m2 roof for the construction of luxury villas in Puerto Banús (Marbella), and a similar project in Valencia worth € 450 million.

In addition, it plans to launch an investment vehicle of € 600 M next 2020 for the acquisition of prime assets, in locations such as Madrid, Barcelona, ​​the Costa del Sol, Balearic Islands, Valencia or Seville. Similarly, it also plans to launch another vehicle next year to disburse € 200 million in strategic locations in Europe. Moonlake Capital has a presence in the United States, United Kingdom and Spain, where it locates two offices in Marbella and Madrid.
